Carrel was named the SUNYAC Men's Basketball Tournament MVP after helping Cortland capture its seventh league title. In the Red Dragons' 77-74 title game victory over Oswego, Joseph scored a career-high 24 points on 9-of-11 shooting, 6-of-8 from 3-point range, and grabbed six rebounds. He also scored 14 points in an 80-78 semifinal win over Brockport.
