Q & A with McKenna

What does it mean to be named the SUNY Cortland Female Athlete of the Week?
It's an honor to be named the female athlete of the week. It shows that all of the hard work I've been putting into the gym is paying off.

What is your favorite memory from this season and why?
My favorite memory of the season was this past weekend at the ECAC meet. I had my best performance on the year, getting All-East honors on vault, beam and floor.

What are a few of your goals individually and as a team that you wish to accomplish while attending Cortland?
First off, I want to win a team national championship before I graduate. I also hope to win an individual championship in the floor exercise. At the upcoming national meet, I will do my absolute best to make this dream of mine come true.

What is your favorite event and why?
My favorite event is the floor exercise. I love performing my routine to everyone which includes doing two flips or multiple twists in midair. 

Why should a high school senior pick the Cortland Gymnastics program over other programs?
We have a great gymnastics program and are one of the top three progrmas on the east coast. Coach Gary is great and truly wants the best for each of us.
