Bobby won the national title at 157 pounds at the NCAA Div. III Wrestling Championships in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He went 4-0 with a 13-5 major decision, a pin, an 8-2 semifinal win, and a 7-5 win in the finals after taking the lead with a reversal with less than a minute left. He finished the season with a 24-2 record.
