Sam went 2-0 with a 0.54 ERA and one save in 13 innings over three appearances for the Red Dragons. The SUNYAC Pitcher of the Week, she threw a five-hit shutout with six strikeouts and one walk in only her second collegiate start as Cortland defeated Nazareth, 3-0. Van Dorn earned a win in relief in a 9-7 victory Friday at Oneonta that clinched the SUNYAC regular-season title for Cortland, and the next day notched her fifth save of the season with two innings of two- hit shutout ball in a 6-3 win at New Paltz.
