In her first week as a collegiate gymnast, Emma competed in three events in three different meets and earned a pair of wins on balance beam at Division I Alaska Anchorage. She tied for first at UAA on beam Friday with a 9.80, which is tied for the third-best score in the event in school history. She also tied for third on floor with a 9.50. Two days later, Schulz outright won beam at UAA with a 9.75, tied for second on floor with a 9.70, and placed fourth on vault with a 9.575. Schulz opened the week at Brockport Tuesday with a third-place effort on vault (9.425) as well as registering a 9.525 on floor.
