BUFFALO, N.Y. – Cortland's victory in the final event clinched a 117-109 dual-meet win over host Buffalo State in men's swimming and diving action, The Red Dragons led 106-103 with one event left and sealed the win with a victory by freshman

Roy Culkin (Holtsville/Sachem East), freshman
Matt Young (Richmondville/Schoharie) and freshman
James McCabe (North Massapequa/Farmingdale) in the 400-yard freestyle relay. Their time of 3:31.34 was almost 10 seconds ahead of Buffalo State's runner-up squad.
The Red Dragons opened the meet with a win by freshman
Luis Welch (Avon), junior Austin Rhoads (Orchard Park), sophomore
Jeff Moessinger (Buffalo/Iroquois) and senior
Evan Jones (East Amherst/Williamsville North) in the 400-yard medley relay (3:53.63). Moessinger was Cortland's lone individual double-winner, picking up first-place honors in the 200-yard freestyle (1:56.72) and 200-yard butterfly (2:11.84).
Junior
David Dow (Port St. Lucie, FL/Glastonbury (CT)) won the 1,000-yard freestyle (10:41.91) and McCabe captured the 50-yard freestyle (23.62). Jones won the 100-yard freestyle (51.96), Culkin touched the wall first in the 500-yard freestyle (5:20.27) and Rhoads captured the 200-yard breaststroke (2:27.49).
