BUFFALO, N.Y. – Cortland won its dual-meet opener, 105-78, at Buffalo State as senior
Sarah O'Loughlin (Pleasantville) won three events for the Red Dragons. She finished first in the 1,000-yard freestyle (11:43.50) and the 200-yard butterfly (2:22.58), and was a winner as an exhibition entry in the 200-yard breaststroke (2:40.87).
Sophomore Megan Donlevy (Lake Grove/Sachem North) was victorious in the 200-yard freestyle (2:08.14) and the 200-yard backstroke (2:22.83), the latter as an exhibition entry. Cortland's other individual winners were sophomore
Ciera Broadwell (Canandaigua/Marcus Whitman) in the 50-yard freestyle (27.12), freshman
Jennifer Thorpe (Lakewood/Southwestern) in the 200-yard individual medley (2:24.94), freshman
Brittany Zdybowicz (Buffalo/Kenmore West) in the 100-yard freestyle (58.52) and freshman
Rachel Phillips (Angola/Eden) as an exhibition entry in the 500-yard freestyle (5:49.56).

Teresa Riley (Liverpool) won in 4:26.23. The 400-yard freestyle relay of Zdybowicz, Phillips, sophomore
Katie Leuthauser (Hannawa Falls/Potsdam) and freshman
Stephenie Bintz (Altamont/Guilderland), swimming as an exhibition entry since Cortland had the meet locked up, finished first in 4:01.88.
