CORTLAND, N.Y. – Cortland finished first in a field of four teams at the Cortland Sprint Relays. The Red Dragons scored 327 points, followed by Oneonta (176), Oswego (165) and Clarkson (161).

Senior Brett Humphreys (Amsterdam), junior Drew Hilker (Ithaca) and sophomore Daniel Evans (Hamburg) were each part of five winning relays and senior Jeremy Cuebas (Brentwood) was on two winning teams. Humphreys, Hilker and Evans won the 300-yard medley relay (2:58.37), teamed with junior Roy Culkin (Holtsville/Sachem East) to win the 400-yard medley relay (3:44.95) and joined freshman Luis Welch (Avon) to win the 200-yard medley relay (1:44.61). They also combined with Cuebas for a win the 400-yard freestyle relay (3:22.06).

In addition, Humphreys, junior Austin Rhoads (Orchard Park) and junior Brett Poffenbarger (Owego/Owego Free Academy) won the 300-yard breaststroke relay (3:15.48) and the quartet of Evans, freshman James McCabe (North Massapequa/Farmingdale), Cuebas and Hilker won the 200-yard freestyle relay (1:29.86).
