GENESEO, N.Y. – The Cortland women's volleyball team improved to 18-6 with a sweep at Geneseo, 30-21, 30-21, 30-25, Wednesday night. The Red Dragons have now won 10 of their last 11 matches. Junior Tiffany Chatman (Watertown), the school's career leader in blocks, added 13 more to her total as she tied her career high with six solo efforts and seven assists and added nine kills.

Senior Kelsey Muka (Lansing) led Cortland with 10 kills and also contributed five digs and three blocks. Junior Brittney Horton (Owego/Owego Free Academy) compiled 31 assists, five digs and four kills, sophomore Michele Gaufman (Wantagh/MacArthur) recorded nine kills and 13 digs and senior Alice Kahrs had nine kills.

For Geneseo, senior Kate Barth registered nine kills and 10 digs, senior Jessi Laemlein added eight kills and sophomore setter Maddy Maler contributed 28 assists.

The Red Dragons return to action when they host the seven-team Cortland Invitational on Oct. 12-13.
