ITHACA, N.Y. – Ithaca College won the final event, the 400-yard freestyle relay, to overcome a two-point deficit and defeat Cortland, 125-118, in a dual meet. The Red Dragons are 1-1 with the loss.

Cortland captured seven individual events and one relay. Senior Kevin Stuttle (Dryden) won both diving events, scoring 268.45 points on the 1-meter board and 282.85 points on the 3-meter board. The Red Dragons opened the meet with a win by junior Roy Culkin (Holtsville/Sachem East), senior Brett Humphreys (Amsterdam), junior Drew Hilker (Ithaca) and sophomore Daniel Evans (Hamburg) in the 400-yard medley relay (3:41.92).

Junior David Dow (Port St. Lucie, FL/Glastonbury (CT)) won the 1,000-yard freestyle (10:32.57) and Hilker captured the 200-yard individual medley (2:06.00). Sophomore Jeff Moessinger (Buffalo/Iroquois) won the 200-yard butterfly (2:05.39), Evans finished first in the 500-yard freestyle (5:05.44) and Humphreys touched the wall first in the 200-yard breaststroke (2:14.17).
