Carson Niehoff (West Islip) made all nine of his free throws and finished with 13 points and nine rebounds. Sophomore

Will Coston (Kerhonkson/Rondout Valley) tallied nine points, five rebounds and four steals.
Garlen Patt registered 15 points and seven rebounds and Carl Embury scored 11 points for Alfred (0-6).
Trailing 19-14 with 8:31 left in the first half, Cortland went on a 12-0 run and led by seven with 3:39 left. Niehoff scored eight points during that stretch. The Red Dragons were up 29-24 at halftime and held a 43-35 lead with 14:26 left before putting the game away with a 14-2 run over the next three minutes, fueled by six points from Coston and five by Miolan.
Cortland outrebounded the Saxons 44-29, including 18 offensive rebounds. The Red Dragons scored 18 second-chance points to just two for the hosts. Cortland also held a 29-7 advantage in points scored off turnovers as Alfred committed 23 giveaways in the contest.
