CANTON, N.Y. – SUNY Cortland senior
Kevin Ma (Cornwall) provisionally qualified for the NCAA Division III Championships in the 55-meter dash and contributed to a winning relay entry at the St. Lawrence University Men's Track and Field Holiday Relays.
Ma finished second out of 34 sprinters in the 55 meters with a time of 6.45 seconds. He also teamed with seniors
J.J. Riese (Central Square/Paul V. Moore),
Matt Bieringer (Center Moriches) and
Amaan Siddeeq (Goshen) to win the 4x200-meter relay in an ECAC Division III Championship qualifying time of 1:30.35 (the event is not an NCAA event). Riese also qualified for the ECAC's with a fourth-place time of 50.57 seconds in the 400 meters, while Bieringer finished fifth in 51.48 seconds.
Sophomore
Joe Keleher (Newfane) won the 55-meter hurdles in an ECAC-qualifying time of 7.86 seconds and finished second in the pole vault by clearing 13' 5.25”. Freshman
Nick Wilson (Seneca Falls/Mynderse Academy) was the winner in the high jump at 6' 3.25” and placed second behind Keleher in the 55-meter hurdles with an ECAC time of 7.92 seconds.
Junior
Jake Zanetti (Saratoga Springs) won the pole vault with an ECAC height of 14' 5.25” and freshman
Will Razzano (Riverhead) captured top honors in the triple jump (41' 6”).
Sophomore
Noah Rappahahn (Lebanon, CT/Lyman Memorial) finished fourth in the 55-meter hurdles in 8.14 seconds, an ECAC qualifying time. Rappahahn and Razzano also joined with sophomore Joe Hoffman (Medford/Patchogue-Medford) and freshman
Adam Groesbeck (Kirkville/East Syracuse-Minoa) to qualify for ECAC's in the 4x200-meter relay. They placed fifth in 1:34.99. In addition, junior
Vinny Krutchick (Suffern) placed third in the shot put (43' 3.25”) and fifth in the weight throw (41' 9.75”).
