ONEONTA, N.Y. – The nationally fourth-ranked Cortland men's cross country teams opened its season with a first-place finish at the Oneonta Airfield Invitational. Cortland finished the meet with 23 points. SUNY Delhi was second with 69 points, with Oneonta (89), Le Moyne (97) and Ithaca (108) rounding out the top five in the eight-team meet.
Sophomore
Seth DuBois (Altamont/Guilderland) finished first out of 106 runners with a time of 19:07 on the 6,000-meter course. DuBois was one of seven Red Dragons to place in the top 13 in the race.

Justin Wager (Guilderland) placed second in 19:14 and sophomore
Kyle O'Brien (Monroe/Monroe-Woodbury) was sixth in 19:45. Also finishing in the top 10 and breaking the 20-minute mark were senior James Barracca (Center Moriches/Sachem North) (8th, 19:53) and freshman
Matt Temme (Ridge/Longwood) (9th, 19:58). Sophomore
Travis DeRusso (East Berne/Berne-Knox-Westerlo) crossed the line 12th in 20:13 and junior
Niko Viglione (Purdys/Somers) was 13th in 20:18.
