Cortland Wins "White" Division Race at Lehigh's Paul Short Invitational

BETHLEHEM, PA. – The SUNY Cortland women's cross country squad finished first out of 33 schools in the “White” division of the Lehigh University Paul Short Invitational.

Cortland won the race with a score of 158 points, nine ahead of runner-up Grove City College and 27 ahead of Trinity College.

Sophomore Lisa Holt (Phoenix/John C. Birdlebough) finished seventh out of 239 runners in 23:08 over 6,000 meters. Junior Erin McGrath (Oakdale/Connetquot) placed 23rd (23:32) and sophomore Kate Ramsbotham (West Islip) was 28th (23:46).

Junior Brittany Brunetto (Fishkill/Beacon) turned in a 52nd-place finish (24:22), with junior teammate Elizabeth Wolff (Syracuse/Henninger) right behind her in 53rd place (24:24). Sophomore Nicole Staudt (Sound Beach/Rocky Point) finished 63rd (24:33) and sophomore Britt Hartmann (Penfield) crossed the finish line 139th (25:48).

Cortland will be sending some runners to the Utica College Invitational on Saturday.
