UTICA, N.Y. – The Cortland men's cross country teams finished third at the first annual Utica College Invitational Saturday afternoon. The Red Dragons finished with 79 points, trailing Nazareth with 23 and Utica with 46. Rounding out the field were SUNY Canton (111), SUNYIT (121) and Bard College (142).

Junior Steve McCaffrey (Pawling) led the team placing seventh overall, finishing the 8,000-meter course in 29:11.2. Other scoring runners for the Red Dragons were freshman Dylan Jung (Sayville), 12th in 29:42.2, senior Adam Dembrow (Akron), 19th in 30:31.2, senior Chris Tucker (Cato/Cato-Meridian), 21st in 30:50.8, and sophomore Jeffrey Marrone (Hauppauge/St. Anthony's), 25th in 30:58.1.
