UTICA, N.Y. – The Cortland women's cross country teams second at the first annual Utica College Invitational Saturday afternoon. The Red Dragons scored 43 points, second to Nazareth with 18 points. Other schools were Utica (81), bard (123), SUNY Canton (130) and Mt. St. Mary's (170).
Freshman Jess Glass (Commack) paced Cortland, covering the 5,000-meter course in 20:52.5 to place fourth overall. Other runners to score for Cortland were freshman Cailtin Sullivan (Elmira Heights/Thomas A. Edison), seventh in 21:09.4, freshman Jessica Stanton (Elmira Heights/Thomas A. Edison), 11th in 21:35.8, sophomore Gina Smith (East Meadow), 12th in 21:42.4), and senior Johanna Roth (Lagrangeville/Millbrook), 13th in 21:44.8).
