HAMILTON, N.Y. – Three Red Dragons won individual events and sophomore
Justin Wager (Guilderland) set a new school record in the 1,000 meters as Cortland finished second at the 11-team Colgate University Class of '32 Invitational. Colgate finished first with 141 points, followed by Cortland (94), Alfred State (70), Oneonta (66) and Hamilton (51) in the top five.
Wager finished second in the 1,000-meter race with a time of 2:27.94. The previous school mark of 2:30.00 was set by Jason Porter in 1992. Wager's time is an ECAC qualifier (the event is not held at the NCAA indoor championships).
Junior
Jake Zanetti (Saratoga Springs) cleared 14' 11.25” to win the pole vault, senior
Kevin Ma (Cornwall) captured the 55-meter dash (6.50) and sophomore
Jerry Greenlaw (Warwick/Warwick Valley) won the 3,000 meters (8:49.30). Greenlaw finished ahead of senior
James Barracca (Center Moriches/Sachem North) by less than half of a second (8:49.77). All of those performances were ECAC qualifiers, along with sophomore
Joe Keleher's (Newfane) third-place effort of 8.05 seconds in the 55-meter hurdles. Ma missed NCAA provisional qualifying status in the 55-meter dash by three hundredths of a second.

Noah Rappahahn (Lebanon, CT/Lyman Memorial), freshman
Gino Bisceglia (Norwood/Norwood-Norfolk), freshman
Adam Groesbeck (Kirkville/East Syracuse-Minoa) and senior
J.J. Riese (Central Square/Paul V. Moore) finished first with an ECAC time of 3:27.42.
Keleher also turned in a fourth-place finish in the pole vault (13' 5.5”), freshman
Stephen Scrafford (Cooperstown) was third in the 1,000 meters (2:37.10) and freshman
Will Razzano (Riverhead) finished third in the triple jump (42' 4”). Greenlaw and Barracca were two of four Red Dragons to place in the top six in the 3,000 meters. Junior
Josh Henry (Truxton/Homer) finished fourth (8:57.46) and sophomore
Jared Newell (Queensbury) was sixth (9:01.99).
Other top-six finishes included a fourth-place effort by Bisceglia in the 400 meters (51.52) and fifth-place efforts by sophomore
Alex Kalinkos (Flushing/St. Francis Prep) in the 500 meters (1:08.55) and Rappahahn in the high jump (5' 11”). Kalinkos missed ECAC qualifying standards by 0.31 seconds. Riese was sixth in the 55-meter dash (6.73) and sophomore
Trey Monaco (Buffalo/Frontier) finished sixth in both the high jump (5' 11”) and triple jump (40' 1.25”). Monaco and Rappahahn cleared the same height in the high jump, but Rappahahn finished fifth due to fewer misses.
