ITHACA, N.Y. – The SUNY Cortland women's cross country team, ranked 13th in the latest Division III national poll, competed at the John Reif Memorial Run hosted by Cornell University Friday afternoon. The meet did not have team scoring.

The Red Dragons rested many of their top competitors for the event. Freshman Katie Poleski (Ossining) was Cortland's top finisher, completing the 5,000-meter course in 21:21.1. Syracuse University sophomore Katie Hursey won the race in 18:44.9.

Four other Cortland runners finished within 70 seconds of Poleski. Freshman Anna Kolbe (Fultonville/Fonda-Fultonville) came in 32nd in 21:39.7, sophomore Barbara Green (Levittown/Division Avenue) placed 34th in 22:05.5, sophomore Steph McGrath (Camillus/West Genesee) finished 35th in 22:06.7 and freshman Val Basciano (New City/Albertus Magnus) crossed the finish line 37th in 22:31.1.
