Danielle McCarthy (Johnson City) each won two individual events as Cortland defeated Buffalo State, 142-75, in its dual-meet opener.
Riley captured both the 1,000-yard (11:27.66) and 500-yard (5:37.91) freestyle races, while Bohneberg won the 200-yard individual medley (2:22.04) and was victorious as an exhibition entry in the 200-yard breaststroke (2:38.59). McCarthy was the top diver with wins on the one-meter board (189.68 points) and as an exhibition entry on the three-meter board (204.97 points).
Sophomore
Brittany Zdybowicz (Buffalo/Kenmore West) won the 200-yard freestyle (2:06.25), junior
Ciera Broadwell (Canandaigua/Marcus Whitman) captured the 50-yard freestyle (27.05) and senior
Samantha Long (Cheektowaga) won the 200-yard butterfly (2:35.52). Junior
Katie Molzan (Plattsburgh/Peru) was the top finisher in the 100-yard freestyle (58.37) and senior
Christina Walrath (Fulton/G. Ray Bodley) won the 200-yard backstroke (2:25.99).
Cortland also won both relays. The 400-yard medley relay team of Broadwell, Bohneberg, Long and sophomore
Heather Fairchild (Wellsville) opened the meet with a win in 4:30.15. Riley, Zdybowicz, Long and junior
Melissa Fromm (Albion) closed the night with a victory as an exhibition entry in the 400-yard freestyle relay (3:59.25).
