CANTON, N.Y. - All seven of Cortland's runners earned all-region honors as the Red Dragons easily took top honors as a team at the NCAA Division III Atlantic Regionals Saturday afternoon at St. Lawrence University. Cortland scored 47 points, followed by NYU with 84 and Geneseo with 91. In all, 34 teams competed at the event.
Senior
Josh Henry (Truxton/Homer) placed third overall, finishing the 8,000-meter course in 25:46, as he posted the same time as senior teammate
Shamus Nally (Burnt Hills/Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake), who took fifth place. Junior
Seth DuBois (Altamont/Guilderland) crossed the finish line just one second behind Henry and Nally in sixth place. Peter Kosgei of Hamilton won the race in 25:19.
Also scoring for the Red Dragons were junior
Justin Wager (Guilderland), 14th in 26:13 and junior
Jerry Greenlaw (Warwick/Warwick Valley), 19th in 26:25. Cortland's two other competitors were junior
Travis DeRusso (East Berne/Berne-Knox-Westerlo), 23rd in 26:27 and junior
Eric Stermer (Chenango Forks), 25th in 26:30.
