Zanetti an NCAA Pole Vault Qualifier at Cornell Relays

Jake Zanetti provisionally qualified for nationals with a pole vault height of 15' 9"
ITHACA, N.Y. - Cortland senior Jake Zanetti (Saratoga Springs) provisionally qualified for the NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field Championships with his effort at the season-opening Cornell Relays. Zanetti finished second overall and was the top collegiate performer with a height of 15' 9".

Junior Joe Keleher (Newfane) also provisionally qualified for nationals when he won the 60-meter hurdles in 8.24 seconds. Sophomore Nick Wilson (Seneca Falls/Mynderse Academy) placed fourth in 8.38 seconds.

Cortland took three of the top five spots in the 3,000-meter run. Junior Seth DuBois (Altamont/Guilderland) won the race in 8:37.69, junior Eric Stermer (Chenango Forks) was second in 8:42.37 and junior Justin Wager (Guilderland) finished fifth in 8:46.92.

Other Red Dragon top-five finishers were sophomore Gino Bisceglia (Norwood/Norwood-Norfolk) in the 300-meter dash (4th place, 35.41), freshman Ryan Pericozzi (Lancaster) in the pole vault (5th place, 15' 3") and sophomore Will Razzano (Manorville/Riverhead) in the triple jump (5th place, 44' 9.75").
