Jake Zanetti cleared 16' 0" in the pole vault to set new school, meet and conference records
GENEVA, N.Y. – Cortland won eight events on the way to its second straight State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) indoor track and field title and sixth overall. The meet was held at the Bristol Field House on the campus of Hobart and William Smith Colleges.
Cortland won the title with 160 points, followed by Buffalo State with 121 points. Geneseo finished third (102.5), followed by Brockport (96), Oneonta (77), Plattsburgh (36), Oswego (16) and Fredonia (15).
Senior
Amaan Siddeeq (Goshen) and sophomore
Justin Wager (Guilderland) each won two SUNYAC titles. Siddeeq was named the SUNYAC men's Track Athlete of the Meet after setting meet records with his wins in both the 55-meter dash (6.30) and 200-meter dash (22.01). He won the 55-meter championship for the third straight year. Wager captured the 800-meter run (1:55.35) and mile run (4:18.57), both with ECAC qualifying times.
Junior
Jake Zanetti (Saratoga Springs) established new school, meet and SUNYAC records with his winning height of 16' 0” in the pole vault. He has won the league title in the event in each of his first three seasons. Cortland's distance medley relay of freshman

Niko Viglione (Purdys/Somers) also set a meet record with their winning time of 10:31.44. Kalinkos and Viglione were also on last year's winning DMR.
Cortland's other two league champions were distance runners. Junior
Shamus Nally (Burnt Hills/Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake) won the 3,000 meters in 8:37.55 and junior
Josh Henry (Truxton/Homer) captured the 5,000 meters in 15:07.18, both ECAC qualifying times.
The Red Dragons also posted four runner-up finishes. Senior
Kevin Ma (Cornwall) was the 55-meter dash runner-up behind Siddeeq with an NCAA provisional time of 6.40 seconds. Senior
James Barracca (Center Moriches/Sachem North) was second in the 5,000 meters (15:09.93), as was sophomore
Drew Hilker (Ithaca) in the high jump (6' 6”) and the combination of sophomore
Durrell Reed (Syracuse/Corcoran), senior
Matt Bieringer (Center Moriches), freshman
Adam Groesbeck (Kirkville/East Syracuse-Minoa) and freshman
Gino Bisceglia (Norwood/Norwood-Norfolk) in the 4x400-meter relay (3:24.78). All were ECAC qualifiers. Hilker actually cleared the same height as the champion, but finished second due to more misses.
