CAMBRIDGE, MASS. - Junior
Alanna Hollborn (Islip Terrace/East Islip) won an ECAC title in the one-mile run and the Red Dragons' distance medley relay foursome secured an ECAC crown as Cortland placed 10th out of 51 teams at the ECAC Div. III Indoor Track and Field Championships this weekend. Cortland scored 31.5 points at the meet, won by Moravian with 56 points.
Hollborn won her event by more than two seconds with an NCAA provisional time of 5:03.70. Sophomore
Kate Ramsbotham (West Islip) earned All-ECAC honors in the mile with a sixth-place finish in 5:12.08. Ramsbotham teamed with sophomore
Mallory Baker (Clifton Park/Shenendehowa), freshman Jessica Stanton (Elmira Heights/Thomas A. Edison) and Hollborn to win the distance medley relay in an NCAA provisional-qualifying time of 12:09.53.
Two other Red Dragons earned All-ECAC honors at the meet. Junior
Keri Laviska (Binghamton/Susquehanna Valley) tied for third in the pole vault with a height of 11' 0.75" and sophomore
Kristen Serikstad (Oyster Bay) finished fifth in the high jump, clearing 5' 3.25". Junior
Sarah Kimball also cleared 11' 0.75" in the pole vault but finished ninth based on number of vaults.
