LEWISBURG, PA. – Three Red Dragons provisionally qualified for the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships during the two-day, non-team scoring Bucknell University Bison Classic.
Juniors
Sarah Kimball (Liverpool) and
Keri Laviska (Binghamton/Susquehanna Valley) tied for second place in the pole vault, each clearing 11' 5.75”, while junior
Alanna Hollborn (Islip Terrace/East Islip) finished fourth out of 27 runners in the 10,000-meter run in 36:03.89.
Five other Cortland performances met ECAC Division III Championship standards. Sophomore
Kate Ramsbotham (West Islip) finished eighth in the 1,500-meter invitational race in 4:42.73, less than three seconds away from an NCAA provisional time. Sophomore
Kristen Serikstad (Oyster Bay) tied for third in the high jump, clearing 5' 3”.
Senior
Ashley Wirges (Hopewell Junction/Arlington) finished seventh in the 100-meter dash (12.80) and was 10th in the 200-meter dash (26.10). She also anchored the 4x100-meter relay team that placed 11th in 50.81 seconds. Other relay members were junior
