J.J. Riese won the 200-meter dash, tied for second in the 100-meter dash and was part of the winning 4x400-meter relay
CORTLAND, N.Y. – Cortland won two relays and captured three individual event titles at its own Cortland Classic. There was no team scoring at the meet.

Gino Bisceglia (Norwood/Norwood-Norfolk) placed first in 3:21.87.
Riese also won the 200-meter dash in 21.77 seconds and tied for second in the 100-meter dash in 10.87 seconds, both ECAC qualifying times. Sophomore Will Coston (Kerhonkson/Rondout Valley) finished first in the high jump (6' 3.5”) and was fourth in the triple jump (43' 7”), both ECAC marks, and sophomore
Joe Keleher (Newfane) won the 110-meter hurdles (15.15), an ECAC qualifier, and finished third in the javelin (149' 3”).
Sophomore
Drew Hilker (Ithaca) cleared 6' 3.5” in the high jump, the same as Coston, but finished second due to fewer misses by Coston. Junior
Jake Zanetti (Saratoga Springs) finished second in the pole vault at 14' 11”, the same height as the winner, also due to fewer misses by the champion. Both Hilker's and Zanetti's performances are ECAC qualifiers.
Ma tied Riese for second place in the 100-meter dash at 10.87 seconds. Three other Red Dragons qualified for ECACs in the event as Bieringer finished fourth (10.96), Cadet sixth (11.06) and Owens eighth (11.10). Bieringer posted a second-place, ECAC-qualifying time of 21.82 seconds in the 200-meter dash, with Cadet placing fourth in 22.42 seconds, also an ECAC mark.

Shamus Nally (Burnt Hills/Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake) in the 3,000-meter steeplechase (second place, 9:43.14), junior
Niko Viglione (Purdys/Somers) in the 1,500 meters (third, 3:57.08), freshman
A.J. Allen (Fonda/Fonda-Fultonville) in the 400-meter hurdles (third, 56.68) and Bisceglia in the 400-meter hurdles (fourth, 57.39).
Cortland will compete in a meet at Ithaca College this Tuesday and will host the SUNYAC Championships Friday at Saturday. The Red Dragons are the defending league champion.
