Gino Bisceglia's winning time of 54.82 seconds in the 400-meter hurdles narrowly missed NCAA qualifying standards
ITHACA, N.Y. – Senior Amaan Siddeeq (Goshen) won two events and freshman Gino Bisceglia (Norwood/Norwood-Norfolk) captured top honors in the 400-meter hurdles at the Ithaca College Open.

Siddeeq finished first in the 100-meter dash in 10.63 seconds and the 200-meter dash in 21.68 seconds. Both are NCAA provisional qualifiers, although Siddeeq has run faster in both events earlier this season. Bisceglia's winning time of 54.82 seconds in the 400-meter hurdles is an ECAC qualifier and missed NCAA provisional qualifying status by only about a third of a second.

Junior Jake Zanetti (Saratoga Springs) finished second in the pole vault with an ECAC-qualifying height of 14' 3.25”. Two other Red Dragons reached ECAC standards with fourth-place finishes – senior Kevin Ma (Cornwall) in the 100-meter dash (11.07) and senior Matt Bieringer (Center Moriches) in the 200-meter dash (22.54).

A pair of Cortland competitors finished second in their events. Sophomore Silas Carey (Delhi/Delaware Academy) was runner-up in the 3,000-meter steeplechase (10:34.02) and freshman Nick Wilson (Seneca Falls/Mynderse Academy) was second in the javelin (139' 5”).
