POTSDAM, N.Y. – Senior
Beth Elmer (Syracuse/West Genesee) matched her career high with three goals and freshman
Alyssa Hoover (Baldwin) scored the first three goals of her collegiate career as Cortland defeated Potsdam, 19-7, in a SUNYAC contest.
Elmer scored all three of her goals in the first half as the Red Dragons (5-5, 2-0) took a 10-3 lead at the break. Hoover scored Cortland's final goal of the first half and added two tallies in the second period.

Jen Pacifico (Sachem) each scored twice, junior
Danielle Torre (Massapequa) recorded a goal and two assists and senior
Rachel Cornwell (Fairport) and junior
Meghan Gallagher (Long Beach) added one goal and one assist apiece. Sophomore
Deanne Abell (Fulton/G. Ray Bodley) made nine saves and allowed five goals over the first 49:58 and sophomore
Sarah Farrell (Syracuse/Henninger) allowed two goals in the remaining 10:02.
Alisha Schaad led Potsdam (4-4, 1-2) with four goals and one assist. Molly Lehman-Lewis chipped in with a goal and an assist and Lindsay Myers recorded 10 saves.
Cortland took a 6-0 lead in the first 10:03, capped by Elmer's goal off a free position. The Bears scored three of the next five goals to close within 8-3 with 7:08 left in the half, but the Red Dragons registered the final two goals of the half and four of the first five goals in the first 10:38 of the second half.
