Kyle O'Brien earned All-America honors by finishing fourth in the 3,000-meter steeplechase
OSHKOSH, WIS. – SUNY Cortland sophomore
Kyle O'Brien (Monroe/Monroe-Woodbury) earned All-America honors in the 3,000-meter steeplechase during the second day of competition at the NCAA Division III Men's Outdoor Track and Field Championships.
O'Brien finished fourth out of 16 runners in 9:08.86, edging two runners by less than a second. Hamilton's Peter Kosgei repeated as national champion with a time of 8:55.19.
Senior
Amaan Siddeeq (Goshen) cruised into Saturday's 100-meter dash finals with a time of 10.54 seconds, the fastest of the 21 sprinters entered. Siddeeq will be one of nine competitors in Saturday's 100-meter dash as well as one of nine entrants in the 200-meter dash finals.
