OSWEGO, N.Y. - Ryan Ellis recorded two goals and an assist and Eric Selleck finished with three assists as nationally 11th-ranked Oswego defeated Cortland, 5-2, in a SUNYAC contest. The Lakers (12-5-1, 6-2-1 SUNYAC) moved into second place in the league standings. Cortland slipped to 5-11-1 overall and 3-5-1 in the conference.

Oswego scored three goals in the first period, starting with an Andrew Mather power play goal just 46 seconds into the contest. Ellis scored at the 11:34 mark and defenseman Rich Zalewski added a shorthanded goal with 2:36 left and the Lakers led 3-0 after one period.
Ellis scored the lone goal of the second period at the 3:23 mark and defenseman Chris Laganiere finished the Lakers' scoring 1:04 into the third period.
Heinz put Cortland on the board 5:30 into the third, assisted by sophomore
