NEW PALTZ, N.Y. - The Cortland men's swimming and diving team concluded its dual-meet season with an 11-2 record after posting a 116-89 victory at New Paltz. The Red Dragons won six individual events plus both relays versus the Hawks.

Dan Evans (Hamburg) won both the 200-yard freestyle (1:44.40) and the 100-yard freestyle (46.92), while senior
Drew Hilker (Ithaca) touched the wall first in both the 50-yard freestyle (22.13) and the 100-yard butterfly (53.50).

Jeff Moessinger (Buffalo/Iroquois) captured the 500-yard freestyle (4:59.12) and finished second behind Hilker in the 100-yard butterfly (54.40). Senior
Brett Poffenbarger (Owego/Owego Free Academy) won the 100-yard breaststroke (1:02.64).

Judd Simon (Oneida), Poffenbarger, Moessinger and Evans won the 200-yard medley relay in 1:39.20 to open the meet. Freshman Dan Salvatore (Clarence), Simon, sophomore

David Dow (Port St. Lucie, FL/Glastonbury (CT)) finished second in the 1,000-yard freestyle (10:23.73).
Cortland will send divers to the Ithaca Diving Invitational on Sunday (Feb. 1) and will compete at the SUNYAC Swimming and Diving Championships Feb. 11-14 in Buffalo.
