SUNY Cortland sophomore Alyson Dalton (Sherrill/Vernon-Verona-Sherrill) has been chosen as the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week for the week ending Oct. 11.

Dalton earned the award for the second consecutive week after she finished first out of 41 runners at Cortland's Jack Daniels Invitational. She posted a time of 23:43.12 over 6,000 meters and helped Cortland finish first out of four teams in the race, ahead of Oneonta, Buffalo State and Fredonia.

Cortland is ranked 35th nationally in Division III.
