SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Cortland won eight of 11 individual events and defeated Division II Le Moyne College, 143-130, in dual meet action at Le Moyne. The Red Dragons are 2-0 on the season.

Senior Jeff Moessinger (Elma/Iroquois) won the 200-yard butterfly (2:07.85) and the 1,000-yard freestyle (10:59.73), while sophomore Dan Drew (Farmington/Victor) touched the wall first in the 100-yard backstroke (57.59) and the 200-yard backstroke (2:06.00).

Sophomore Travis Burke (Massapequa) won both the 1-meter and 3-meter diving events, senior Caleb VanSickle (Stanley/Marcus Whitman) was the 500-yard freestyle winner (5:07.76) and senior Dan Evans (Hamburg) was victorious in the 200-yard freestyle (1:48.19).

Cortland clinched the team victory with a win the 400-yard freestyle relay. VanSickle, Evans, freshman Dan Maximowicz (Binghamton/Chenango Forks) and senior Matt Young (Schoharie) comprised the winning quartet with a time of 3:19.82.
