Gino Bisceglia's time of 49.03 seconds in the 400 meters broke a 10-year-old school record
BOSTON, MASS. - Sophomore
Gino Bisceglia (Norwood/Norwood-Norfolk) established a new school record and provisionally qualified for nationals in the 400-meter run during Cortland's competition at the Boston University Valentine's Invitational.
Bisceglia finished 12th out of 164 entrants with an NCAA provisional time of 49.03 seconds. He broke the previous school mark of 49.25 seconds set by Tim Buckenmeyer in 1999.
Bisceglia was also part of the distance medley relay team that turned in a seventh-place time of 10:07.28, the third-fastest in school history. Joining Bisceglia were junior

Caleb Olsen (Bellmore/J.F.K. Bellmore) and senior
Niko Viglione (Purdys/Somers).

Seth DuBois (Altamont/Guilderland) provisionally qualified for nationals with his eighth-place time of 14:45.62 in the 5,000-meter run. Two other Red Dragons finished in the top 40 in that 95-runner event - senior
Josh Henry (Truxton/Homer) was 11th in 14:49.71, missing NCAA standards by just 0.31 seconds, and senior
Shamus Nally (Burnt Hills/Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake) was 39th (15:16.13). Both Henry and Nally were ECAC qualifiers.
Olsen finished 16th out of 158 runners in the 800 meters in 1:54.80, the second-fastest time in school history and an ECAC qualifier. Wager was 42nd in a 182-runner field in the mile run with an ECAC-qualifying time of 4:16.82 and junior
Kyle O'Brien (Monroe/Monroe-Woodbury) finished 50th out of 166 runners in the 3,000 meters with an ECAC time of 8:41.80.
