Ryan Pericozzi missed All-America honors by one spot with his ninth-place national finish

Jake Zanetti (Saratoga Springs) finished ninth and 12th, respectively, in the pole vault and junior
Seth DuBois (Altamont/Guilderland) placed 13th in the 5,000-meter run during the second day of competition at the NCAA Division III Men's Indoor Track and Field Championships.
The three were Cortland's only competitors at the meet. The Red Dragons did not score any points in the team standings.
Pericozzi barely missed earning All-America honors, which go to the top eight finishers in each event. He was one of five pole vaulters to clear 15' 7.75”, but due to number of misses finished third in that group. Daniel Drewek of Wisconsin-Stout finished seventh overall as he cleared both 15' 1.75” and 15” 7.75” on his first attempts. Greg Tao of MIT took eighth place since he made the 15' 1.75” height on his first try and 15' 7.75” on his second attempt. Pericozzi cleared both of the heights on his second attempts to finish ninth. Two others cleared 15' 7.75”, but had more misses than Pericozzi.
Zanetti finished with a height of 15' 1.75”. Jake Winder of North Central College won the event at 17' 1.5”.
DuBois was clocked at 15:13.67 in the 5,000 meters. William Kaul of Wisconsin-Oshkosh won the race in 14:31.46.
