MEDFORD, MASS. – Six Red Dragons earned All-ECAC honors to help Cortland finish in 11th place out of 51 schools that scored points at the ECAC Division III Women's Indoor Track and Field Championships, hosted by Tufts University.
Cortland finished with 28 points. Springfield won the team title with 62 points, followed by Moravian with 56 points.
Junior
Kristen Serikstad (Oyster Bay) finished second in the high jump with an NCAA provisional qualifying height of 5' 5.75”. Seniors
Keri Laviska (Binghamton/Susquehanna Valley) and
Sarah Kimball (Liverpool) each reached NCAA provisional status in the pole vault by clearing 11' 7.75”, just missing Kimball's school indoor record of 11' 8”. Laviska finished fifth and Kimball was sixth due to number of misses.
Freshman
Alyson Dalton (Sherrill/Vernon-Verona-Sherrill) and junior
Lisa Holt (Phoenix/John C. Birdlebough) placed third and fourth, respectively, in the 3,000-meter run. Dalton was clocked at 10:22.90 and Holt finished in 10:28.35. Also turning in a top-eight finish for ECAC honors was junior
Kate Ramsbotham (West Islip), who placed seventh in the mile run (5:06.42).
