Two 10K Runners, Pole Vaulter Provisionally Qualify for NCAAs at Bucknell

Josh Henry's eighth-place time of 30:29.19 in the 10,000 meters is an NCAA provisional qualifier
LEWISBURG, PA. – Three Red Dragons posted NCAA provisional qualifying performances as Cortland competed at the non-team scoring Bucknell University Bison Outdoor Classic, held at Christy Mathewson Stadium.

Seniors Josh Henry (Truxton/Homer) and Shamus Nally (Burnt Hills/Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake) finished eighth and 11th, respectively, in a field of 40 runners in the invitational division of the 10,000 meters. Henry was clocked in 30:29.19 and Nally in 30:45.12, both NCAA provisional qualifiers. Senior Jake Zanetti (Saratoga Springs) tied for second place out of 14 athletes in the pole vault invitational division with an NCAA provisional height of 15' 9”.

Five other Cortland efforts met ECAC qualifying standards. Freshman Ryan Pericozzi (Lancaster) tied for sixth in the pole vault at 14' 9” and sophomore Matt McDougle (Buffalo/Kenmore West) tied for seventh out of 38 sprinters in the 100-meter dash (10.95). Three Red Dragons qualified for ECACs in the 110-meter hurdles – junior Joe Keleher (Newfane) finished eighth (15.31), Pericozzi was 13th (15.45) and junior Durrell Reed (Syracuse/Corcoran) placed 17th (15.57).

Junior Drew Hilker (Ithaca) tied for ninth place in the high jump (6' 2.25”) and finished 16th in the long jump (21' 8.75”). Sophomore Will Razzano (Manorville/Riverhead) finished 11th in the triple jump (44' 3.5”), sophomore Andrew Brusso (Elmira/Elmira Southside) was 15th out of 55 runners in the 1,500 meters (4:03.81) and sophomore Gino Bisceglia (Norwood/Norwood-Norfolk) finished 15th in the 400-meter hurdles (57.91).
