Kristen Serikstad's high jump tied a school outdoor record originally set in 1984
CORTLAND, N.Y. – Junior
Kristen Serikstad (Oyster Bay) tied a school record in the high jump as Cortland competed at the Ithaca College Open. Serikstad cleared 5' 6” (1.68 meters), provisionally qualifying for the NCAA Division III Championships and matching the school outdoor record originally set by Judy Ingham in 1984.
Sophomore
Valerie Winberry (Bay Shore) finished second in both the shot put (34' 3.75”) and the discus (110' 0.75”), and junior
Sasha-Gay Harris (Kingston, Jamaica/Mount Vernon (NY)) placed second in the 100-meter dash (13.77).
Cortland claimed three of the top four spots in the 400-meter hurdles. Sophomore
Dana Roberts (Corinth) finished second in 1:12.16, followed by senior
Danielle Kelley (East Aurora) in third place (1:13.53) and freshman
Lauren Herman (Dix Hills/Half Hollow Hills West) in fourth place (1:13.81).
Other top-four finishers included junior
Laurel Headwell (Fultonville/Fonda-Fultonville) in the shot put (3rd place, 32' 7.75”), junior
Erin Sills (Smithtown) in the triple jump (3rd place, 32' 10.5”) and sophomore
Heather Harrington (Rehoboth, MA/Dighton-Rehoboth Reg.) in the 200-meter dash (4th place, 28.52).
