Kristen Serikstad claimed the ECAC high jump title with a school-record height of 5' 7.75"
SPRINGFIELD, MASS. - Junior
Kristen Serikstad (Oyster Bay) won the high jump with a school-record and NCAA Division III provisional qualifying height of 5' 7.75" at the ECAC Division III Women's Outdoor Track and Field Championships, hosted by Springfield College.
Serikstad's finish helped Cortland finish 13th out of 56 schools that scored points at the meet. The Red Dragons scored 19 points. Moravian College won the team title with 67 points.
Serikstad's performance broke her own previous school record of 5' 7". Senior
Sarah Kimball (Liverpool) finished fifth in the pole vault with an NCAA provisional height of 11' 9.75" and sophomore
Kristin Vespa (Ossining) placed fifth in the 10,000 meters in 38:41.07. Rounding out Cortland's scorers at the meet was senior
Brittany Brunetto (Beacon), who finished eighth in the 3,000-meter steeplechase (11:31.36).
