NEW YORK, N.Y. - Senior
Jake Zanetti (Saratoga Springs) tied his own school record in the pole vault to highlight Cortland's performances at the NYC Qualifying Challenge at Icahn Stadium.
Zanetti cleared 15' 11", matching his school record from the 2007 season. He finished in third place out of 11 competitors and provisionally qualified for the NCAA Division III Championships.
Freshman
Ryan Pericozzi (Lancaster) placed fifth in the pole vault at 14' 11". Junior
Justin Wager (Guilderland) finished in 10th place (1:55.61) and freshman
Kyle Fitzpatrick (Washingtonville) finished in 16th place (1:57.47) out of 55 runners in the 800 meters, while sophomore
Andrew Brusso (Elmira/Elmira Southside) finished 19th out of 44 runners in the 1,500 meters (4:03.04).
