CANTON, N.Y. - The Cortland women's cross country team finished second overall out of six teams at the Ronald C. Hoffmann Invitational. The Red Dragons' 47 points finished behind only host St. Lawrence's 18.
Cortland had two runners finish inside the top 10 on the 6,000-meter course. Sophomore
Christina DiLallo (Randolph) was Cortland's top scorer in fifth place out of 73 runners with a time of 22:59 and just behind her in sixth place was sophomore
Alyson Dalton (Sherrill/Vernon-Verona-Sherrill), who finished in 23:02.
Also scoring for Cortland were freshman
Heather Clancy (Syracuse/Westhill) in 13th place (24:18), freshman
Alexis Fairbanks (Apalachin/Owego Free Academy) in 14th place (24:21), senior
Sarah Lazarus (South New Berlin/Unadilla Valley) in 15th place (24:29), junior
Erin Keaveney (West Hempstead/Kellenberg Memorial) in 17th place (24:31) and senior
Lisa Holt (Phoenix/John C. Birdlebough) in 18th place (24:33).
Placing inside the top 25 for Cortland were junior
Caitlin Sullivan (Elmira Heights/Thomas A. Edison) in 21st place (24:52) and freshman
Jordyn Naylon (Fairport) in 24th place (25:23).
