ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Three Cortland players scored goals, including tournament Most Outstanding Player
Bridgette DeSantis (Schenectady/Mohonasen), as the Red Dragons blanked Ramapo College of New Jersey, 3-0, in the championship game of the RIT Rachel Miller Invitational. Cortland improved to 3-0 with the victory, while the Roadrunners suffered their first loss in three outings.
Cortland controlled play for most of the contest, outshooting Ramapo 15-1 in the first half and 24-5 for the game. Junior

Dayna Moneta (Franklin Square/Valley Stream North) did not have to make any saves over the final 7:30 as they combined for the shutout. Jessica DaRold made six saves in 85:05 of action for Ramapo.
Freshman midfielder
Taylor Teal (Bethlehem) opened the scoring with her first collegiate goal 14:20 into the game. A Cortland indirect kick bounced off a Ramapo defender to the front of the net and Teal knocked in the loose ball for the only score of the half.
DeSantis netted her fourth goal of the season 12:58 into the second half when her shot from the left side caromed off the post and went in. Freshman forward
Kiersten Jacobsen (Plainedge) tallied her first collegiate goal with 8:46 remaining as she slid in and knocked in a close-range shot off an assist from freshman defender
Morgan Osborne (Homer).
Senior defender
