CLINTON, N.Y. – The Hamilton men's hockey team broke open a close game with the game's final three goals over the last two periods to defeat Cortland, 6-2, Tuesday night in non-conference action. The Red Dragons fell to 2-5-1 with the loss, while the Continentals improved to 2-1.

Senior Tom Chiappetta (Myrtle Beach, SC/The Gunnery), junior Bryan Kelly (Plymouth, MA/Pomfret School), sophomore Andrew Jelinek (Great Falls, VA/Tabor Academy) and freshman Michael DiMare (Medford, MA/Avon Old Farms School) netted one goal apiece. Senior Joe Buicko (Altamont/Hotchkiss School) contributed three assists, and junior Anthony Scarpino (Meadville, PA/Hobart College) had two assists. Senior goalie Scott Hefferman (Warwick, RI/Bishop Hendricksen) made 26 saves.
