Joey Christiano (Rochester/Port Hope Predators) scored an unassisted goal with one minute, 23 seconds remaining in regulation as the Cortland men's hockey team skated to a 2-2 tie at Hobart Tuesday night in non-conference action.

Michael Lysyj (Hillsborough, NJ/South Shore Kings) scored Cortland's first goal in the game with Christiano and junior
Ryan Durocher (Canton/Boston Bulldogs) collecting assists. Junior goalie
Brittan Kuhlman (Omaha, NE/Winnipeg Saints) made 37 saves.
Sophomore Mike White (Rochdale, MA/Jr. Bruins) and junior Greg Ciciola (Yorktown Heights/NY Apple Core) netted Hobart's goals. Seniors Tommy Capalbo (Mamaroneck/NY Bobcats) and Patrick Moriarty (Lloyd Harbor/NY Bobcats) and sophomore Brad Richard (New Bedford, MA/CD Selects) collected assists. Sophomore goalie Nick Broadwater (Portland, ME/Jr. Bruins) stopped 39 shots.
White gave the Statesmen (0-2-1) the lead at 9:59 of the opening period off an assist by Capalbo. Lysyj tied the game for Cortland (2-2-1) at the 4:52 mark of the second period with Christiano and Durocher assisting. Hobart regained the lead on the power play at 12:08 of the third period as Moriarty and Richard set up Ciciola's score. With time winding down, Christiano sent the game into overtime as Broadwater made an initial glove save but lost control of the puck and had it slide over the goal line. Cortland out shot Hobart, 5-4, in the extra five minutes, but neither team could earn the win.
