GENEVA, N.Y. – Sophomore
Alyson Dalton (Sherrill/Vernon-Verona-Sherrill) and freshman
Christi Nassauer (Mount Sinai) each won individual titles as Cortland competed at the SUNYAC Women's Indoor Track and Field Championships, held at Hobart and William Smith Colleges.
Cortland finished in fourth place out of eight teams with 83 points. Buffalo State repeated as league champion with 143 points, followed by Geneseo (140), Oneonta (85), Cortland, Brockport (67), Fredonia (52), Plattsburgh (47) and Oswego (7).
Dalton won the 3,000-meter run in 10:26.49 and Nassauer cleared 3.20 meters (10' 6”) to win the pole vault, both with ECAC-qualifying performances. The 4x400-meter relay of sophomore

Mallory Baker (Clifton Park/Shenendehowa), freshman
Keri Marks (Massapequa Park/Massapequa) and freshman Lex Grable (Pine Bush) finished second with an ECAC time of 4:07.73.
Freshman
Katie Darling (Delhi/Delaware Academy) finished fourth in the 55-meter hurdles (8.64), freshman
Alexis Fairbanks (Apalachin/Owego Free Academy) placed fourth in the 800 meters (2:20.10) and freshman
Alana Hotchkiss (Cicero/Cicero-North Syracuse) was fourth in the triple jump (10.79 meters – 35' 5”). All three efforts were ECAC qualifiers, as was freshman
Nikki Schafer (Troy/Columbia) with her sixth-place time of 8.82 seconds in the 55-meter hurdles.
Cortland took three of the top six spots in the pole vault. In addition to Nassauer's title, junior
Sarah Wignall (Weedsport) finished fifth and senior
Nicole Ragard (Binghamton/Susquehanna Valley) placed sixth. Wignall and Ragard both cleared 2.90 meters (9' 6.25”), with Wignall taking fifth due to the number of misses.
Sophomore
Ashley Gansle (Loudonville/Shaker) finished fourth in the shot put with a distance of 10.91 meters (35' 9.5”), and the distance medley relay of freshman
Jordyn Naylon (Fairport), freshman
Nicole Battaglia (East Meadow), junior
Stephanie McGrath (Camillus/West Genesee) and senior
Sarah Lazarus (South New Berlin/Unadilla Valley) finished fourth in 13:12.85. Baker finished fifth in the 400 meters (1:01.61).
Seven other Red Dragons scored points at the meet. Grable was sixth in the 400 meters (1:01.64), junior
Barbara Green (Levittown/Division Avenue) finished sixth in the 800 meters (2:22.85) and Darling placed sixth in the long jump (5.08 meters – 16' 8”). Naylon finished seventh in the mile (5:19.30), junior
Kristin Vespa (Ossining) placed seventh in the 3,000 meters (10:47.28), freshman
Amber Stephens (Stony Point/North Rockland) was seventh in the triple jump (10.59 meters – 34' 9”) and freshman
Chelsea Lachman (Monroe/Monroe-Woodbury) finished eighth in the shot put (10.51 meters – 34' 5.75”).
