MINNEAPOLIS, MINN. – Senior Dan Evans (Hamburg) finished in 22nd place out of 42 swimmers in the 100-yard butterfly during Day 2 of the NCAA Div. III Men's Swimming and Diving Championships at the University of Minnesota.

Evans finished with a school-record time of 50.52 seconds. The previous record was 51.38 seconds by Drew Hilker in 2008. Evans missed a top-16 spot and a berth in the consolation finals by 0.21 seconds. He earned honorable mention All-America honors Friday with his 15th-place finish in the 50-yard freestyle.

Evans will swim his final race Saturday when he competes in the 100-yard freestyle. He enters nationals with the fifth-best seed time in that event at 45.22 seconds.
