LEWISBURG, PA. – Cortland triple jumpers took three of the top five spots, two with NCAA provisional qualifying distances, at the Bucknell University Bison Outdoor Classic. The meet featured a number of Division I and Division II schools.
Freshman
P.J. Flynn (Valhalla) finished second in the triple jump at 14.50 meters (47' 7”) and freshman
Dash Ellis (Tomkins Cove/North Rockland) was fourth at 14.22 meters (46' 8”). Both distances are NCAA qualifiers, but shorter than what the athletes achieved last week (Flynn registered 14.61 meters at Hamilton and Ellis had a 14.50-meter effort at Princeton). Junior
Will Razzano (Manorville/Riverhead) finished fifth in the triple jump at Bucknell with an effort of 13.90 meters (45' 7.25”).
Sophomore
Ryan Pericozzi (Lancaster) tied for fourth place in the invitational section of the pole vault at 4.80 meters (15' 9”), an NCAA qualifier. The height was just under Pericozzi's 4.85 meters last week at Princeton. Seniors
Schuyler Field (Queensbury) and
Joe Keleher (Newfane) tied for second in the collegiate division of the pole vault, each clearing 4.35 meters (14' 3.25”).
Junior
Gino Bisceglia (Norwood/Norwood-Norfolk) placed sixth in the 400-meter dash (48.61). Pericozzi was 10th in the long jump (6.76 meters – 22' 2.25”), senior
Darnell Owens (Fallsburg) placed 11th in the 100-meter dash (10.97) and Keleher finished 13th in the 110-meter hurdles (15.43).
