ITHACA, N.Y. – Four Red Dragons earned top-five finishes at the Cornell Big Red Invitational. Freshman
Caitlin Triantafillou (Getzville/Williamsville North) placed fourth in the 400-meter hurdles (1:09.81) and freshman Jessica Andrianos (Camillus/West Genesee) was fourth in the discus at 37.16 meters (121' 11”). Freshman
Jordyn Naylon (Fairport) finished fifth out of 36 runners in the 1,500 meters (4:48.21) and senior
Lisa Holt (Phoenix/John C. Birdlebough) was fifth out of 19 in the 5,000 meters (18:26.24).
Also in the discus, freshman
Chelsea Lachman (Monroe/Monroe-Woodbury) finished sixth at 33.58 meters (110' 2”) and freshman
Karli Johnson (Mount Sinai) finished eighth at 32.45 meters (106' 5”). Freshman
Amber Stephens (Stony Point/North Rockland) was seventh in the 100-meter hurdles (17.02).
Sophomore
Ashley Gansle (Loudonville/Shaker) finished eighth in the shot put (10.49 meters – 34' 5”) and 10th in the javelin (25.11 meters – 82' 4”). Sophomore
Jenna Evarts (West Islip) and sophomore
Brittani Sahm (Phoenix/John C. Birdlebough) placed eighth and 10th, respectively, in the 100-meter dash – Evarts in 13.20 seconds and Sahm in 13.41 seconds.
Junior
Sarah Wignall (Weedsport) and freshman
Christi Nassauer (Mount Sinai) each cleared 3.15 meters (10' 4”) in the pole vault. Wignall finished eighth and Nassauer was 10th due to number of misses. Freshman Britt Krivicich (Middletown/Pine Bush) earned a 10th-place finish with her high jump of 1.45 meters (4' 9”).
