Dash Ellis (Tomkins Cove/North Rockland), sophomore
Ryan Pericozzi (Lancaster) and junior
Gino Bisceglia (Norwood/Norwood-Norfolk) each provisionally qualified for the NCAA Div. III Men's Outdoor Track and Field Championships with their efforts at the Sam Howell Invitational, hosted by Princeton University.
Ellis finished second in the triple jump with a distance of 14.50 meters (47' 7”) and Pericozzi cleared 4.85 meters (15' 11”) for a second-place showing in the pole vault. Bisceglia placed fourth in the 400-meter dash in 48.28 seconds.
Senior
Joe Keleher (Newfane) earned two of Cortland's other five top-10 finishes at the meet. he was sixth in the 110-meter hurdles (15.55) and eighth in the pole vault (4.55 meters – 14' 11”). Junior
Will Razzano (Manorville/Riverhead) finished third in the triple jump at 13.91 meters (45' 7.75”), senior
Darnell Owens (Fallsburg) was seventh in the 100-meter dash (11.19) and sophomore
Kyle Fitzpatrick (Washingtonville) placed ninth in the 800 meters (1:55.92).
The 4x400-meter relay team of freshman
Eric Banks (Westbury), sophomore
Zac Farnham-Haskell (Essex Junction, VT/Essex), junior
Phill Wiltshire (Vestal) and Bisceglia finished in seventh place with a time of 3:20.75.
In addition, seven Red Dragons finished between 12th and 15th place against numerous Division I and II schools, among others. Senior
Schuyler Field (Queensbury) was 12th in the pole vault (4.40 meters – 14' 5.25”), senior
Durrell Reed (Syracuse/Corcoran) finished 12th in the 110-meter hurdles (15.80) and junior
Phill Wiltshire (Vestal) placed 12th in the 400-meter hurdles (56.55).
Freshman
Josh Daves (Huntington) was 12th in the long jump (6.31 meters – 20' 8.5”) and junior
Nick Wilson (Seneca Falls/Mynderse Academy) finished 12th in the javelin (43.81 meters – 143' 9”). Farnham-Haskell was 13th in the 400-meter dash (50.27) and junior
Andrew Brusso (Elmira/Southside) finished 15th in the 1,500 meters (4:05.32).
