ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Freshman
Chrisanna Hickey (Hopewell Junction/John Jay East Fishkill) won three individual events and sophomore
Jessica Evans (Hamburg) won two races as Cortland defeated host Rochester, 173-127, in dual-meet action. The Red Dragons are now 4-2 with the victory.
Hickey won the 200-yard butterfly (2:11.88), the 200-yard breaststroke (2:31.66) and the 200-yard individual medley (2:17.79). Evans captured the 100-yard freestyle (55.07) and the 100-yard butterfly (1:01.18), and was second in the 200-yard freestyle (2:01.53).
Graduate student
Lauryn Kaznowski (Kingston) took top honors in both diving events. She scored 222.00 points on the one-meter board and 248.50 points on the three-meter board.
Sophomore
Abigail MacDonald (East Amherst/Williamsville North) won the 200-yard backstroke (2:13.38) and was second behind Hickey in the 200-yard butterfly (2:18.56) and 200-yard individual medley (2:18.55). Senior
Rachel Phillips (Eden) won the 100-yard breaststroke (1:08.61) and was the runner-up in the 200-yard breaststroke (2:33.15), while freshman
Sarah Culmo (West Islip) won the 50-yard freestyle (25.37).

Michelle Seeger (Oneonta) opened the meet with a win the 200-yard medley relay (1:54.78). Cortland also won the 400-yard freestyle relay as freshman
Caitlin Lanigan (West Seneca/West Seneca West), Seeger, Evans and sophomore
Kelsey Roe (Auburn) were clocked at 3:46.62. In addition, Harris was second in the 100-yard butterfly (1:03.84) and freshman
Brenna Munz (Poughquag/Arlington) finished second in the 1,000-yard freestyle (11:34.15).
