Senior Jennifer Cadolino's first goal of the season was the game winner in the 13th minute

Jennifer Cadolino (Massapequa) scored 12 minutes, 15 seconds into the game and the goal held up as the Cortland women's soccer team won its seventh straight game with a 1-0 decision at Geneseo in SUNYAC action Saturday afternoon. The Red Dragons improved to 10-4-1 overall and 7-1 in the conference and can clinch the SUNYAC regular-season title and the top seed in the conference tournament with either a win or tie versus Oswego at home next Saturday. The Knights dropped to 10-4-1 and 3-3-1 with the loss.

Pam Monnier (East Northport/Northport) recorded her sixth solo shutout of the season with two saves for Cortland. Freshman
Amanda Margolis (Oceanside) assisted on Cadolino's goal and has now either scored or assisted on Cortland's last seven goals over a three-game span. Sophomore goalie Julia Sanger (Penfield/Fairport) registered three saves for Geneseo.
Cadolino tallied the game winner and her first goal of the season in the 13th minute when she accepted a pass from Margolis, beat a Geneseo defender to the middle of the field and scored on a shot from the top of the box. The goal held up as the Red Dragons recorded their eighth shutout in 15 games this season.
